Kaziranga National Park in Assam is a World Heritage Site and it is famous for world’s biggest population of single-horned rhinos, as good as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of chicks.
This is the oldest National Park in Assam and covers 430 sq. Kilometers on the river Brahmaputra on north and Karbi Anglong hills on the South. The scenery of Kaziranga is of sheer forest, rugged reeds, marshes, tall elephant grass and shallow ponds.
The National highway passes through the park and tea estates. Tourists can call for rides on elephants to run close to the parkland, bring a jeep safari or cruise in a boat along the Brahmaputra along the common.
